FAQs

  • What is date of the wedding?

The wedding is Saturday 05/05/2018 (and it's a bank holiday weekend)

  • When is the RSVP deadline?

Please let us know if you are coming and any dietary requirements before 24th March

  • What time is the ceremony?

The ceremony is at 12 noon

  • What is the address of Quarry Bank Mill?

As a National Trust property the mill is fully signposted. For Sat Navs use postcode SK9 4HP and follow brown heritage signs.

  • Where should I park at Quarry Bank?

There is a public car park at Quarry Bank with complementary parking provided for wedding guests. With recent works at the mill they haven't been charging for parking, but if you are asked to pay simply advise the parking hut you are attending the Thompson/Campbell wedding and you can park for free

  • Do I need to pay to enter Quarry Bank?

To enter Quarry Bank you will pass through the visitors centre - there is no need to pay to enter, advise the desk that you are attending a wedding at the mill

  • Where do I go at Quarry Bank/ where is the ceremony?

Head towards the cafe and function rooms (in a small courtyard area, fully signposted). This is only a few minutes walk, but there will be a golf buggy available to transport the less mobile members of our wedding party. This may change subject to ongoing construction work; check back here for updates. The ceremony will be on the second floor of the function room building (there is a lift available). Following the ceremony there will be a drinks reception on the mill meadow.

  • What is the address of Mobberley Victory Hall?

Mobberley Victory Hall, Town Lane junction with Church Lane, Mobberley, WA16 7JQ Directions: Find your way to the B5085 which runs between Knutsford and Wilmslow. Once into Mobberley simply look for the wooden carving of a WW1 soldier at the junction and entrance to the hall.

  • Where should I park at Mobberley victory hall?

As you arrive at Victory hall drive up the (steep) entrance drive and around the back of the hall. The car park is free and you can park anywhere.

  • Will I have to pay for parking?

No, both Quarry Bank and Mobberley Victory hall are free to park for our wedding

  • Can I leave my car overnight?

You can leave your car overnight at Mobberley Victory Hall and collect on the Sunday

  • Can I take pictures?

Yes, of course! Pictures and videos are encouraged, although we do request that during the ceremony itself phones and cameras are kept to a minimum to allow our wedding photographer to get some lovely pictures. On the day we'd like to keep pictures off social media to avoid spoiling the wedding for evening guests, but please do share your photos after the wedding day!

  • Can I bring confetti?

Please do not bring ANY confetti, we will be providing it. Since Quarry Bank is a National Trust property the land is protected and we face a huge fine if any non-approved confetti is thrown.

  • What will happen after the ceremony?

After the ceremony there will be a drinks reception at Quarry Bank before we move to Mobberley, there will also be pictures-a-plenty due to the beautiful surroundings.

  • What time is the food?

The wedding breakfast BBQ will be served at 3pm with evening pizzas served from 8:30pm

  • I have a child, will a high chair be provided?

Unfortunately there are no high chairs available, please bring along any booster seat/high chair that you need

  • I'm an evening guest, what time should i arrive?

    Please arrive from 5:30pm onwards

  • Is there a dress code?

    No, but dress to impress!

  • What kind of shoes should I wear?

Whatever you're comfortable in...but please be aware that the daytime drinks reception at Quarry Bank will be on grass, so watch out for sinking stilettos.

  • How do I get to the venues?

Please make your own way to both venues, let us know if you need transport however and we can try to find you a space in someone else's car.

  • Will drinks be provided?

Drinks reception will be provided at Quarry Bank and wine will be available during the wedding breakfast. Following the meal, drinks can be purchased from the adjoining bar at Victory hall

  • Does the bar take card payment?

Yes, both cash and card are taken at the bar at Victory Hall Memorial Club (adjoined to the hall)

  • Are kids welcome?

YES! We have a number of children coming along and a corner space for them to play will be provided. If your child needs a high chair or booster seat for dinner, please remember to bring along with you as unfortunately the hall does not provide these.

  • Is there a gift list?

Your presence at our wedding is all that we hope for, but if you would like to make a further gift then we would very much appreciate money towards our house fund or gift vouchers for John Lewis to help fill the house!

  • Can I request a song?

Please do, as we're creating the evening playlist ourselves....add any requests to your RSVP
